Aldama Collection

Use this sew kit of jute twine and a hay basket needle to add seagrass squares to your rug or sew two rugs together to create a large rug. It has never been easier to create a large or custom size yourself!

Kit includes one needle and 141-feet of jute twine.

Note: The color and tone of natural fiber may vary slightly from harvest to harvest. If you are attaching multiple rugs or pieces, we strongly recommend purchasing all pieces together so that we can insure all items are fulfilled from the same harvest. We cannot guarantee that items ordered separately will match color-wise.

Set of 12 one-foot, seagrass squares with a fanciful design. When purchased with a sew kit, these squares may used as a border to embellish our Rush House Original rug or add square-footage to our Aldama rug.

The Aldama rug is made from seagrass pulled by hand and laid in the sun to dry. The seagrass is braided into long, golden strands and woven into patterned one-foot squares by skilled artisans. Squares are assembled to create a rug with a striking, decorative pattern and unmatched texture that cannot be found in any machine-made rug.
